Prospective postdocs and visiting scholars: Please send a letter of inquiry to email@example.com along with your CV and research interests. You are encouraged to apply for external funding sources or fellowships to support independent projects. On occasion, positions may be available to work on currently funded projects in the lab.
Prospective graduate students: Students interested in PhD work should contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a letter of inquiry, brief statement of research interests, and current CV. Applications to UC Irvine graduate programs are typically due in December for matriculation the following fall. Prospective students are encouraged to apply for external fellowships prior to admission, such as the NSF GRFP. The Allison Lab can enroll PhD students through the graduate programs in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Earth System Science, and Mathematical, Computational, and Systems Biology. Positions for Master’s students are more limited, but interested candidates should email email@example.com with a letter of inquiry.
Prospective undergraduate research students: UCI undergraduates should fill out the independent research application. Students from other institutions may participate in undergraduate research if their home institution provides research support or has a partnership with UCI. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
High school students: Unfortunately, due to resource constraints, we do not offer positions or internships for high school students.
